The endogenous mice Il7r gene was completely or partially replaced by human IL7R gene via ESC targeting.

Leukocytes were collected from wild-type C57BL/6 mice (female, 7 weeks old) and homozygous hIL7R humanized mice (female, 7 weeks old), and analyzed by flow cytometry with anti-mIL7R and anti-hIL7R. hIL7R was exclusively detectable in hIL7R humanized mice but not in wild-type mice. hIL7R was exclusively detectable on T cells in hIL7R humanized mice, whereas mIL7R was exclusively detectable on T cells in wild-type C57BL/6 mice.
