Others immune-mediated inflammatory diseases model

Introduction

Immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) are a broad category of disorders triggered by or resulting from dysregulation of the innate and adaptive immune systems. These diseases can affect multiple organ systems and are associated with high morbidity, reduced quality of life, and premature mortality.

Disease models

To better characterize diseases, identify targets, and perform in vivo evaluation of therapeutic drugs and approaches, appropriate animal models are often required in drug development. The SMOC Inflammation/Autoimmune Disease Evaluation Platform has an experienced research team and has developed a variety of IMID mouse models, providing customized efficacy evaluation services according to client needs.

Fig 1. Type 1 diabetes mellitus model was established by intraperitoneal injection of STZ into M-NSG mice.

The results showed that after STZ induction, the model group exhibited elevated blood glucose levels and decreased body weight.

Fig 1. Type 1 diabetes mellitus model was established in M-SRG rats via intraperitoneal STZ injection.

After STZ induction, the model group exhibited hyperglycemia and reduced body weight.image.png

Fig 2. Efficacy evaluation of the type 1 diabetes mellitus model in M-SRG rats.

The results showed significant improvements in both blood glucose levels and body weight in the treatment group.

Fig.2 Caerulein induced chronic pancreatitis model. (A) photos of pancreas. (B) Relative pancreas weight (mg/g).

The size and weight of pancreas were significantly decreased in caerulein treated  mice.

Fig.3 Caerulein induced chronic pancreatitis model.

Obvious atrophy of acinar cells can be observed in caerulein treated mice.

Significant fibrosis was observed in the pancreatic tissue of caerulein treated  mice.
