Strain State:Repository Live | Cat. NO.:SM-003

BALB/c is one of the most widely used inbred lines in biomedical research, especially in immunology and infectious disease research. The incidence of breast tumors is about 10% to 20%. There is a certain number of ovarian, adrenal, pulmonary tumors, and leukemia that occurs. Lung cancer occurs in 26% of female mice and 29% of male mice. The incidence of leukemia is 12% in females and 10% in males. Blood pressure was the highest compared to other inbred mice and had spontaneous hypertension.

Mice

R26-pAPOE-hCYP3A4(FVB)

Strain Name:FVB-Gt(ROSA)26Sorem1(pAPOE-CYP3A4)Smoc
Strain State:Embryo cryopreservation | Cat. NO.:NM-KI-18032

This knock-in model was generated by inserting the human CYP3A4 cDNA driven by the liver-specific APOE promoter into the mouse Rosa26 site, which can be used to obtain liver-expressed CYP3A4 humanized model after mating with the Cyp3a13 gene and other Cyp3a family gene knockout mice. This model can be used with NM-KI-18033 mice which has gut-specific expression of human CYP3A4 to compare the contribution of intestinal versus hepatic metabolism to the biotransformation of a test article.

Mice

Rag1-KO(Rag1-EGFP)

Strain Name:B6;129S-Rag1tm1(loxP-EGFP-PolyA-loxP-Neo-loxP)Smoc
Strain State:Repository Live | Cat. NO.:NM-KI-00069

A loxP-EGFP-PolyA-loxP-Neo-loxP expression cassette was knocked into the Rag1 gene start codon site. As a Rag1 knockout mouse model, this stain can be used in subcutaneous inoculation of liver cancer tissues and tumor cells. Tumors can esaily form and grow. The amount of T and B lymphocytes in peripheral blood of mice was extremely low tested by FACS, which was comparable to or lower than that of Nude mice, and there was a significant difference compared with wild type mice. The pathological sections of HE staining of tumor tissues showed that the tumor sections of Rag1 KO mice and Nude mice were similar. This strain has the potential to replace Nude, NOD-SCID mice as a tumor-bearing mouse model.

Mice

Rag2-KO(Rag2-EGFP)

Strain Name:B6;129S-Rag2tm1(loxP-EGFP-PolyA-loxP-Neo-loxP)Smoc
Strain State:Embryo cryopreservation | Cat. NO.:NM-KI-00070

A loxP-EGFP-PolyA-loxP-Neo-loxP expression cassette was knocked into the Rag2 gene start codon site. As a Rag2 knockout mouse model, this stain can be used in subcutaneous inoculation of liver cancer tissues and tumor cells. Tumors can esaily form and grow. The amount of T and B lymphocytes in peripheral blood of mice was extremely low tested by FACS, which was comparable to or lower than that of Nude mice, and there was a significant difference compared with wild type mice. The pathological sections of HE staining of tumor tissues showed that the tumor sections of Rag2 KO mice and Nude mice were similar. This strain has the potential to replace Nude, NOD-SCID mice as a tumor-bearing mouse model.

Mice

Apc-L850X

Strain Name:C57BL/6Smoc-Apcem1(L850X)Smoc
Strain State:Repository Live | Cat. NO.:NM-KI-200001

Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) is a heritable condition in which affected individuals develop benign intestinal polyps. Often, polyps progress to colorectal carcinomas later in life. The mutation of C57BL/6-Apcem1(L850X)Smoc(NM-KI-200001) strain of SMOC refers to the ApcMin model (Jax: 002020 ), a useful model to study intestinal adenomas. The C57BL/6-Apcem1(L850X)Smoc strain is highly susceptible to spontaneous intestinal adenoma formation and can be used as a research model for human FAP. These mice carry a p.L850X mutation of Apc gene.

Mice

CAG-LSL-dCas9-SPH-Tg

Strain Name:C57BL/6Smoc-Tg(CAG-LSL-dCas9-SPH)Smoc
Strain State:Repository Live | Cat. NO.:NM-TG-00025

Cre-dependent SunTag-p65-HSF1 (SPH) transgenic mice were generated with piggyBac transposon system in F1 zygotes and crossed with wild type C57BL/6 mice., SPH transgenic mouse containing HA-tagged dCas9 fused with 10xGCN4, which is linked with p65-HSF1 and EGFP in tandem via P2A and T2A respectively. The transgene is driven by the ubiquitous CAG promoter and interrupted by a loxP-stop-loxP (LSL) cassette to render Cas9 expression inducible by the Cre recombinase. Expression of dCas9 can be detected using primary antibody: rabbit monoclonal antibody to HA-tag (1:1000, #3724, CST45) and secondary antibody: goat anti-rabbit Alexa Fluor 488 (1:1000, #A-11034, Thermo Fisher). *This strain is a client-donated line. The donor's publication indicates that fluorescence was observed by immunofluorescence. The JAX description of this strain also explicitly states that fluorescence cannot be directly observed.

Mice

KPC

Strain Name:C57BL/6Smoc-Trp53em4(R172H)Krasem4(LSL-G12D)Tg(Pdx1-cre)Smoc
Strain State:Repository Live | Cat. NO.:NM-KI-210096

The KPC mouse is an established and clinically relevant model of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) which develops many key features observed in human PDAC including pancreatic intraepithelial neoplasia alongside a robust inflammatory reaction including exclusion of effector T cells. Metastases are observed in around 80% of KPC animals located primarily in the liver and lungs. Mutations in both KRAS and TP53 genes are found in around 80% and 70% of all human PDACs respectively. Trp53-R172H、Kras-LSL-G12D were crossed with Pdx1-Cre-Tg to generate KPC mice. The KPC mouse contains a dominant negative point mutation in the transformation related protein 53 gene (TP53R172H), and a conditional activation point mutation in the KRAS gene (KRASG12D). A lox-stop-lox termination sequence is encoded upstream of KRAS mutated genes to prevent expression in the absence of Cre recombinase. The pancreas-specific Pdx-1 promoter enables expression of Cre recombinase in acini, islet and duct cells of the pancreas. Cre-mediated recombination excises the lox-stop-lox termination sequences and enables expression of KRASG12D in pancreatic tissue.

Mice

Nmu-2A-Cre

Strain Name:C57BL/6Smoc-Nmuem1(2A-Cre-WPRE-polyA)Smoc
Strain State:Sperm cryopreservation | Cat. NO.:NM-KI-200298

2A-Cre-WPRE-polyA expression cassette was knocked into the Nmu gene stop codon site. Nmu gene encodes a member of the neuromedin family of neuropeptides. The encoded protein plays a role in energy homeostasis and body temperature regulation. And the protein is homologous with human NMU, which is linked toobesity.
