Shanghai Model Organisms Center provides multiple types of tumor-bearing mouse models for cancer research and drug efficacy testing, including cell line-derived xenograft model (CDX) and patient-derived xenograft model (PDX). While PDX models better reflect the heterogeneity and diversity of human cancers, CDX models allow researchers to advance their pre-clinical drug development in a cost- and time-efficient manner.

Shanghai Model Organisms provides a variety of mouse models of inflammation including exarteritis, chemotherapy-induced intestinal inflammation and inflammatory bowel disease. These models can be applied in researches on the mechanism of inflammation, evaluation of drug efficacy, and others.

Fibrosis

The mouse liver fibrosis model can be generated by surgery or drug induction, which can be used to study the role of genes and proteins in the development of liver fibrosis, to explore the mechanisms underlying liver fibrosis, and to carry out drug efficacy evaluations.

Excision and Regeneration of Tissue

A mouse tissue regeneration model can be established by an operation of partial tissue excision. Such models can be used to study the changes in morphology, serology and metabolism during tissue regeneration, and hence lay the experimental foundation for studying the mechanisms regulating tissue regeneration.
