Gene Symbol
CD79a

Model Description

The endogenous mouse Cd79a gene was replaced by human CD79A gene.

Validation Data

Fig.1 Detection of CD79A expression in spleen by RT-PCR.

Wild type: only one band at 160 bp with primers F1/R1(mCd79a);

Homozygous: only one band at 117 bp with primers F2/R2(hCD79A).

Abbr. M, DNA marker; HO, homozygous; WT, wild type.

Fig.2 Expression analysis of hCD79A on B cells in blood and spleen of hCD79A humanized mice. Leukocytes were collected from blood and spleen of wild-type C57BL/6 mice (male, 10 weeks old) and homozygous hCD79A mice (male, 11 weeks old), analyzed by flow cytometry with anti-mCD79A and anti-hCD79A. The anti-mouse CD79A antibody binds to both wild-type and humanized mice because its epitope lies in the intracellular domain, a region that remained unchanged during humanization. hCD79A were exclusively detectable in hCD79A humanized mice but not in wild-type mice.
